news-details

In an historic moment for the shipping industry, Singapore’s first fully electric ferry fleet - Electric Dream - was unveiled in a ceremony on April 17. Designed by Incat Crowther and built by Penguin International Limited each Electric Dream ferry will transport 200-passengers at speeds of up to 21-knots.

The first vessel in the fleet, Penguin Refresh, will begin operation in May and will transport passengers between the Pasir Panjang Ferry Terminal and Pulau Bukom, which is home to Shell's Energy and Chemicals Park.

Together, the three Electric Dream ferries, which will also be operated by Penguin International, will eliminate more than 6,000 tons of carbon emissions annually. Incat Crowther is proud to have partnered with Penguin on this important project with our digital shipbuilding process playing a key role in helping to turn Electric Dream into a reality.
